If you are diving into Forza Horizon 6, you already know that hunting down classic cars hidden away in dusty old barns is one of the best parts of the game. Among the most satisfying legends to track down this time around is the absolute icon of JDM culture: the 1971
Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R
.
Affectionately known to car fans as the "Hakosuka," this vintage masterpiece is waiting for you as a Barn Find. But you can't just drive out and open the doors whenever you want—the game makes you earn the rumor first. Here is exactly how to unlock the quest line, where to go on the map, and how to get it fully restored for your garage.

1. How to Unlock the Rumor
Before you go hunting, you need to trigger the actual barn search circle on your map. If you try to drive out to the location before hitting these specific milestones, the barn will just sit there locked, and you won't be able to interact with it.
To get the rumor to drop, focus on these progression steps:
Level Up Your Campaign: You need to reach Level 3: Traveller within the Discover Japan Campaign.
Earn Progress Points: You can build up your progression by playing through story missions, finishing road races, tearing up touge events, or smashing the regional mascots hidden around the world.
Watch for the Blue Stamp: The classic purple search circle will pop up on your map immediately after you unlock the Blue Stamp milestone. Once you see that circle over the Nangan region, you are officially cleared to go hunting.
2. The Exact Barn Location
Once the rumor circle is active, you need to head over to the southwest corner of the Nangan region. The search zone can be a little tricky if you're just driving aimlessly, so here is the step-by-step path to find it quickly:
Find the Main Road: Look for the primary paved road that slices directly through the southern half of the search zone.
Spot the Cluster of Houses: Keep an eye out for a small group of houses sitting right along that main paved road.
Take the Dirt Track: Look right behind those houses for a branching dirt path that leads down a hill toward the west.
Follow the Path Down: Drive straight down the dirt track. You'll see another side path branch off to the right—ignore that one and stay on the main track heading down.
Look for the Trees: Right before the path drops all the way down toward the beach, the barn is tucked away quietly inside a small copse of trees.
Drive up to the barn doors, and you will trigger the cutscene to claim your prize!
3. Restoring Your New Ride
Once the cutscene plays out, the beat-up Skyline will be loaded up and sent off to Eugene's shop to get cleaned up and completely restored.
The Wait Time: Because it's an absolute classic, Eugene takes about 2 to 6 hours of real-world playtime to fully finish the restoration.
Save Your Credits: The game will give you the option to pay a chunk of credits to bypass the timer and get the car instantly. Honestly? Don't bother. Save your hard-earned money for upgrades and tuning. Just go run a handful of races, tackle some PR stunts, or explore the map, and the notification telling you it's ready will pop up before you know it.
